Boutique
and gift shop sales staff positions onboard a cruise ship are considered
entry-level. You must be 21
years old for onboard gift shop employment in the areas of tobacco and
liquor. This is due to legal selling requirements. To apply you must
have retail sales experience combined with a selling personality.
Experience in fine jewelry, watches, cosmetics, fragrance and fashion
sales is preferred. When applying, be sure to emphasize professionalism
and an outgoing personality.
When
in port, the gift shop must be closed because of customs regulations.
This allows employees to go ashore if their work has been completed.
Working hours are arranged at the discretion of the shop manager.
